The Beeville Garden Club was treated to a Tour of Refugio Tuesday, March 19.

Bart Wales with the Refugio County Museum puts the tours on periodically for visitors interested in the history of Refugio.

Assisted by Tip Crutchfield, Jerry Smith and Lori Bellows, Wales took the group of about 25 to see the historic Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church and its archives, as well as the F.B. Rooke House and Ranch, Anaqua House and the Refugio County Museum.

The group also visited Blue Sky, Moya’s Cafe and the nearby Texas South Wind Winery and Vineyard.
