ODEM – Riders from Independence Equine Center of Woodsboro competed Saturday, March 9, at the Spring Dressage Show at Jay’s Nest Farm in Odem.

Kassidy Sollomon and Ford Nelson started the show with blue and red ribbon rides on the beginner test one and freestyle ride.

For the children’s beginner tests, ribbons were won by Aubrey Ford, 9, Sarah Henning, 6, and Shelby Summerville, 11, all of Refugio; Riley Gourley, 11, of Corpus Christi; and Rebekah Porter, 9, of Rockport.

For adult beginner test Aryan Miller of Rockport, Anna Bryan of College Station, and Amy Willey of Ingleside performed in their first show.

Competing in the children’s introductory level were Summerville, Kadance Smith, 10, of Ingleside, Gourley of Corpus Christi, and Kiley French, 9, of Orange Grove.

In the adult introductory level were Savannah Rozacky of Woodsboro, 13, Chloe Gosnell of Portland, 14, Jacob Porter of Rockport, 15, and Rebecca Brady, 14, of Bastrop.

Pas de Deux’s were ridden by Rozacky, Rebecca Brady, Gosnell and Rozacky; Gourley and Linda Holland; Ford and Miller; and Smith and Gosnell took home the blue ribbon for their ride in “Let There Be Cowgirls.”
