Lady Trojans garner postseason honors

BEEVILLE – The softball season is over, but the Lady Trojans earned a few postseason District 30-4A honors.

Earning all-district second team accolades were Lady Trojan outfielder Krystal Cuellar, utility player Lynn Puente, first baseman Theresa Amador and designated hitter Andrea Briseno.

Earning honorable mention status for the Lady Trojans were Alyssa Bates, Rebekah Mendoza, Eddika Ortega and Rebecca De Los Santos.

Cuellar batted .312 for the Lady Trojans this year. Puente hit for a .375 average with an on-base percentage of .480. Amador batted .295 on the year with an on-base percentage of .405. Briseno hit a lofty .423 on the year for the Lady Trojans.
