Country music fans can expect a full evening of toe-tapping, hand clapping entertainment on Thursday, April 23. The Jamboree will welcome entertainers Robin and Samantha Pollock, Johnny Marek and Al Nelson.

Robin and Samantha Pollock of Rockport say they are exited about performing. They are both avid country musicians, and their repertoire features everything from classic songs by Loretta Lynn to more recent tunes by Leann Rimes.

Samantha sings with her church and school choirs. Samantha says, “I love to sing, and it’s even more fun when my mom and I can sing together.”

Johnny Marek a talented artist, from Corpus Christi has been playing in local bands for years.

“He is a great drummer and he has a wonderful voice that will impress the audience,” said Rick Faircloth, show organizer.

Nelson sings the Ray Price style as well as the Big Band style.

“Not only is he a good singer, he is a good drummer,” Faircloth said. “Come out and see what these talented musicians have in store for us.”

The Jamboree show is held the fourth Thursday of each month at the Refugio County Community Center from 7:30 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m. Admission still remains at $4 per person.
