The Woodsboro JV Lady Eagles burst for five runs in the bottom of the third inning and cruised to a 6-0 win over the Falls City JV Beaverettes this past Tuesday in Woodsboro.

Freshman sensation Malorie Nesloney continued her dominance on the mound giving up just one hit and striking out seven batters in four innings of work.

The Lady Eagles took advantage of three walks and two timely hits by Kasie Fierova and Heather Arriaga to blow the game open in the third. Fierova, Nesloney, Tiffany Friedrichs, Arriaga, Meghan Saunders, and Trista Yanez all scored runs for the Lady Eagles.

Defensively, Melinda Hernandez led the way with three put outs, Jimah Riemenschneider added one put out, and Jennifer Elizardo showed continued improvement behind the plate.
