Mandy Nixon has announced her candidacy for WISD School Board, Place 3. This week she submitted the following statement:

“I, Mandy Haertig Nixon, would like to announce my candidacy for Woodsboro ISD School Board Trustee Place 3.

“I am the daughter of Neal and Linda Haertig. My husband Jamey and I have been married for 14 years and have two beautiful daughters, Madalynn, 13, and Taylor, 10. I have lived in Woodsboro all my life with the exception of living in Refugio for five years.

“I am a 1995 Woodsboro High School graduate and pride myself in being a Woodsboro Eagle.

“I am currently employed as Branch Manager/AVP by San Antonio National Bank.

“I am an active member of Faith Untied Church in Woodsboro and currently serve on the Church Council as treasurer, as well as teach Sunday School and Vacation Bible School in the summer.

“I am actively involved with both my girl’s activities, including school, extra-curricular activities, Little League and 4-H.

“I am running for a Trustee position on the Woodsboro 1. S. D. School Board to serve my community and help make decisions that are in the best interest of all of our children and our community, as a whole.

“I would like to thank everyone for their support and would appreciate your vote on May 9. Thank you.
