The Refugio Country Opry will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Expo Center. Special guests will be Jimmylie Dickson, Jay Harvey and Ronnie Mason.

Jimmylie Dickson from Alice is a very special little talent. She has been singing since she was four years old.

Jay Harvey, the mayor of Goliad, is one who has been on the circuit since 2006 and has a great following. Jay’s booming voice is a copy of many Nashville artists, according to Jay Monrad. “It’s undiscribable!” added Monrad.

Ronnie Mason, who sounds like Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins, Eddy Arnold and many other famous singers. Monrad says this is one show you just can’t miss.

The Refugio Country Opry Band was voted as the best show band in South Texas in 2006. A recent vote still claims that fact.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.

Be sure to save your ticket stub for the many door prizes given each month.

The food court will be open and has a full meal deal. Plates, sandwiches, burgers, chips, dips, deserts, drinks... you name it, they’ve got it.

All net proceeds go toward our county scholarship program. Your attendance is the only thing that makes this possible.
