Thanks for the kindness

On Dec. 20, I was traveling alone from El Campo to Corpus Christi to visit my daughter.

I stopped at the Burger King for a break. When I returned to my truck it wouldn’t start.

I called your local mechanic, and they refused to even talk to me. The other mechanic in town was on his way to Dallas. I was having no luck with my road service and could not reach the local wrecker driver by phone.

A very kind couple and their daughter (I assumed) overheard my attempts to find help and the lady offered to get in her car and go find the wrecker driver. After she left I tried one more time and my truck started (after over an hour).

In my excitement about it starting, I failed to get their names. If they read this, I would like them to know how very much their kindness meant to me.

If these folks are representative of the majority of folks in Refugio, then you have a great town.
