On Nov. 25, the Refugio County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Taskforce in locating and arresting Leo Click Sr. who was being sought on two counts of Criminally Negligent Homicide and five counts of Injury to a Child. On Aug. 18, 2013. Click was alleged to have caused an accident in Refugio County that took the life of Nicole Lowenberg, 45, and Samuel Stoffregen, 14, both of Austin.

Click was operating a vehicle that allegedly crossed the center line of state Highway 35 in eastern Refugio County and struck a vehicle in the oncoming lane of travel.

Refugio County and Texas Department of Public Safety investigators worked together with the GCVOFTF to run down every potential lead that came in regarding the whereabouts of Click. Information was developed that Click may be at a residence in the 11000 block of Revis Hill Road in Mountainburg, Arkansas. The CGVOFTF contacted the U.S. Marshals led Western Arkansas Fugitive Taskforce for assistance. The WAFTF was able to locate and apprehend Click at that residence without incident late this afternoon. Click was being held in Arkansas pending extradition to Refugio County. Click was being held in lieu of $225,000 bond.
