A-T Elementary moves toward another exemplary school year

The Austwell-Tivoli Elementary School fifth grade took the math section of the TAKS test on April 7. Two weeks later , the results were in. Eight of 14 students in Ms. Danna Brandt’s class received commended math scores.

Earlier they learned that three of their classmates were commended in the reading TAKS taken in March.

The TAKS-weary class took their final TAKS test April 30 when they turned in the pages of the science booklets. Those scores will be made available soon.

“If the third, fourth and sixth grades do as well as the fifth graders, Austwell-Tivoli Elementary will once again earn the title of an exemplary Texas school,” said Stephen Maldonado, principal.

The commended math students are Adrian Tovar, Dustin Freeman, Justice Cunningham, Erika Soderholtz, Joshua Maddux, Nathan Tijerina, Ismael Perez, and Michael Valdez.
