The Refugio County Sheriff’s Department received a call at 7:46 a.m. Monday about a robbery at the Bayside Grocers Store in Bayside.
The store’s clerk advised that an unknown male about six feet tall, wearing all black clothing, had entered the business and demanded the money in the store.
The male suspect was brandishing a black object and began hitting on the counter when demanding the money, according to sheriff’s deputies.
The clerk told the suspect that the cops were coming, and at that point the suspect ran out the door empty-handed.
Deputies arrived and began to search the area for evidence. Deputies located some items that might have been used to cover the man’s face.
Items were recovered, and a more intense search led the Major Crimes Unit to the 700 block of Copano Drive in Bayside.
The Major Crimes Unit located Bradley at the residence. Bradley was taken to the Refugio County Sheriff’s Office where he was interviewed. And the Major Crimes Unit was able to get Bradley to confess to the Robbery.
The Major Crimes Unit returned to the Copano Bay Drive residence, and recovered more evidence used in the robbery.
It was later learned that Bradley was wanted on two warrants for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle from Perryton, in Ochiltree County near the Texas Panhandle.
