Beeville’s John C. Beasley Municipal Golf Course played host to two recent tournaments.

In the Chingo’s de Golf 9-hole scramble event and 9-hole night golf tourney on Friday, the winners were the foursome of Daniel Cano, Dustin Cano, Danny Cano and Danny Beltran with a scorecard of 65.

The second place squad tied for the low round at 65 but lost the scorecard playoff. That foursome included Artie Flores, Jimmy Gauna, Ricky Mendez and John Gross.

The third place group of Billy Korczwski, Mike McNabb, Johnny Ramirez and Ruben Molina came in with a 66, just one stroke back of the top two groups.

The same sponsoring group, the Chingo’s de Golf, also staged a 6-hole scramble, a 6-hole alternate shot and a 6-hole low ball tournament on Saturday.

First place went to the tandem of Bobby Cantu and Ricky Mendez with a handicap adjusted score of 70.65. Second place had the duo of Raul Casarez and John Roensch carding a 72.30. Third place went to Mike Martinez and Donny Reason with a score of 72.75 for the 18 holes.
