Junior left-hander Cameron Kremers was selected to the all-district second team. His won-lost record was not impressive, but he kept the young Trojans in almost every game he pitched and notched double-digit strikeouts in most outings to go along with a low earned run average for the Beeville nine. Several 1-0 losses dotted his season as the Beeville offense struggled all season.
The district was packed with great pitching this year, according to the coaches, and was led by state 4A runner-up Victoria East.
Three Trojans garnered honorable mention status for head coach Matt Trujillo. Senior catcher Daniel Amador, sophomore pitcher/infielderJonathan Carrillo and sophomore infielder Jarrett Cano made the distinguished list presented by the district’s coaches.
Kremers, Carrillo and Amador also were Academic All-District performers. All three maintained a 90 or above average in the classroom as well as being in good standing on the diamond for the Trojans.
