REFUGIO – An investigation conducted by Danny Madrigal of the Refugio Police Department led him from Refugio to Woodsboro and back to Refugio to arrest Dorothy Lee Boston, 47, on felony charges of credit and debit card abuse, according to a press release from the Refugio Police Department.

“The sequence of events unfolded once Boston used a lost credit card belonging to a traveler from Yoakum,” said Refugio Police Chief Andy Lopez Jr.

Apparently, the Yoakum resident lost her credit card at the Texas Star Store in Refugio.

“Boston found the credit card and purported to have permission to use the credit card, leaving a trail of illegal unwarranted charges at five different businesses within the town of Refugio and Woodsboro,” Lopez said.

Lopez added that the charges are being filed with the Refugio County District Attorney’s Office, pending a grand jury review.
