Parmley running for Place 5 seat on GCGCD

GOLIAD – Bill Parmley has filed to run for Place 5 on the Goliad County Groundwater Conservation District’s board of directors.

Parmley, 58, owns and operates Sarco Creek Ranch, a retail store in southern Goliad County.

Parmley graduated from Sinton High School in 1974 and Stephen F. Austin University with a bachelor of science degrees in biology and geology and a masters in geology.

Parmley is a registered oil and gas operator with the Texas Railroad Commission and a member of the Texas Groundwater Association, Gulf Coast Association of Geological Studies, Corpus Christi Geological Society, Coastal Bend Geophysical Society, Society of Economic Paleontologist and Mineralogist, Society of Sedimentary Geology, West Texas Geological Society, and American Association of Petroleum Geologist.
