Armando Ray Elizondo, 63, of Victoria, died Friday, May 8, 2009. He worked for Kinder/Morgan for 32 years prior to his retirement.

He was born Feb. 24, 1946, in Woodsboro to Gonzalo and Guadalupe Elizondo. He was a member of the Holy Family Church in Victoria.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Emma Alvarez and Eva Basaldua; two brothers, Gilbert and Gonzalo Elizondo Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Elizondo; one daughter and her husband, Belinda and Mike Harber of Chesapeake, Va.; one son, Armando Ray Elizondo, Jr. of Victoria; one sister and her husband, Yolanda and Roger Blaker of Woodsboro; one brother and his wife, Adan and Dolores Elizondo of Victoria; and five grandchildren.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 11, at St. Therese Catholic Church.

Burial was in St. Bernard Cemetery in Woodsboro.

Pallbearers were Roger Blaker Jr., Roy Blaker, Mark Elizondo, Tommy Elizondo, Oscar Perez, and Johnny Joe Garza.

Honorary pallbearers were Don Williams, Robert Shipp, and Avelino DeLeon.
