Bicycle safety talk at A-T

The Texas Department of Public Safety conducted a bicycle safety talk at Tivoli Elementary on May 18.

The talk covered bicycle law and safety tips along with the rules of the road. Thirty-seven students participated in a riding course to demonstrate their riding skills and a written test. A perfect score was 120 points.

Overall winners were, first place for the girls, McKenzi Simmons, 110 points; and first place for the boys, Joseph DeLeon with a score of 103.

Class winners were kindergarten, Isaiah Torres and Ashley Martinez; first grade, Alejandro Velazquez and Lia Hernandez; second grade, Tony Misner and Grace Porter; third grade, Adam Lewis and Cecilia Diaz; fourth grade, Sergio Ruiz and Teah Camacho; fifth grade, Joseph Deleon and Brogan Marshall; sixth grade, Jose Salinas and Loryn Hernandez.
