Safe Sitter is a not-for-profit, medically oriented instructional program, designed to reduce the number of accidental and preventable deaths among children, especially while under a baby sitter’s care. At the class, young baby sitters will learn how to handle both major and minor medical emergencies such as caring for a choking infant or child, performing rescue breathing and first-aid for cuts, scrapes and bruises. The students will learn through hands-on practice and role playing.
The class is sponsored by Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville and is $35 per student. The class is limited to 25 students and registration is on a first-come basis.
To register call Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville at 354-2125 or 354-2150.
