Interested in becoming a museum docent for the Beeville Art Museum?

A docent is a trained volunteer who leads tours at the museum. Do not worry – a degree in art is not necessary, training will be provided. All volunteers need is a willingness to learn and to share their time and knowledge. Docents can sign up for as many tours as they like. The museum will have a tour schedule at the training session so volunteers can plan around their personal schedules.

Other opportunities are available as well. The museum welcomes all interested parties to become a part of the volunteer team. Volunteers can gain experience working with the public, and become aware of how art can enrich and enhance life. Volunteers can greet guests at the door, help with the art activity, or act as a host/hostess at exhibition openings. Teens can volunteer after school or weekends if interested.

In addition, volunteering is a great way to fulfill service requirements for clubs or scholarships. Either leading tours and/or volunteering, everyone is always welcome at the Beeville Art Museum.
