Time for FUMC Fall Bazaar

Members of the First United Methodist Church in Refugio are making plans for their annual Fall Bazaar set for Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church’s Fellowship Hall at 310 Power Street.

The men of the church, known as the “Kitchen Crew,” will serve a barbecue meal from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Advance tickets may be purchased from church members for $6.50 per plate. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on that day.

Chairpersons Phyllis Hayes, Vicki Johnson, and Minnie Lou Sutton report that many selections are available for shoppers will include arts and crafts, plants, baked goods, pantry specialties, and white-elephant bargains.

Two other events will include a silent auction for several “must have” items and a drawing for a vintage hand-pieced “Sunbonnet Sue” quilt. Tickets for this quilt-drawing may be purchased in advance from church members for $1 each or six for $5.

The Fall Bazaar chairpersons assure the public that this is an event that will be enjoyed by everyone.
