Congress should have to use same healthcare as rest of America

The proposed government takeover of private healthcare information and decision-making is a complete invasion of privacy/confidentiality between individuals and medical professionals and/or caregivers. I insist that members of Congress be subject to any legislation passed in this regard. Please, no more privilege for those who impose laws on the rest of America.

While some reforms in healthcare may be appropriate, a government run system is not the right approach. Time and again we have seen that government is not efficient. Please consider a panel of independent medical experts and/or individuals who represent the majority of American opinion. The panel can work with Congress to draft appropriate reforms while maintaining the integrity of a private relationship between physicians and patients, and without imposing government control over a national healthcare system, i.e. socialized medicine. Surely a plan of 100 pages or less, understandable to all who read it, can encompass all necessary parameters. Then allow citizen discussion and feedback over a reasonable time period, perhaps 8-12 months, to make adjustments to such a plan.

At this time Congress fails to represent the wishes of a majority of its constituents. What an outrage! This kind of legislation that impacts everyone (except government) for the duration of their lives and generations to come, is not an emergency that requires action before anyone can digest the ramifications of such a bill. Back off and slow down! Be quiet and listen! Really try to hear the voice of America and consider the well-being of present and future generations of Americans. That is the only task delegated to elected officials.
