The Refugio County Opry will conduct its fourth annual free show Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Expo Center, at the Refugio County Fairgrounds.

Featured performers include Whitney Ship of Refugio, Ashley Cudd of Corpus Christi, and Kali Lynn Shoemake of Victoria.

“Whitney has a very beautiful voice,” said Jay Monrad, show organizer. “Ashley has been on the Opry in the past. She does a great job.”

“The last time Kali was on our show she was only six years old, now she’s fourteen. “We are looking forward to hearing her sing,” said Monrad.

The food court has many food items and desserts to choose from as well as drinks and snacks. Dinner plates are available for only $5.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. the show gets underway at 7 p.m.

Although the show is free, a donation box will be set up.

“Donations will be greatly appreciated,” Monrad said. “All net proceeds go towards the Opry Scholarship Fund.”
