A-TJH cross country pitted with big schools

The Austwell-Tivoli Jr. High boys and girls cross country teams competed last weekend in Rockport. 

“Despite running against the larger schools such as Victoria, Port Lavaca, and Rockport our kids did a great job and represented the school well,” said Coach Crawford.

Both teams will run in the district cross country meet next Thursday, Oct. 30, at 4:30 p.m. in Pleasanton. 

Oscar Tabora placed 16th for the Austwell-Tivoli Junior High boys with a time of 14:06. Other individuals placing were 20th, Avery Camacho,14:56; 34th, Casey Simpson, 17:50; 35th, Sean Worley, 19:24; 38th, AJ Reyna, 21:33.

Medalist Haley See placed 8th for the Austwell-Tivoli Jr. High girls team with a time of 15:00.  Other individuals placing were 26th, Haley Newton,16:38; 26th, Lauren Kelso, 19:20; 29th, Deshea Hernandez, 19:30.
