Country music fans can expect a full evening of toe-tapping, hand clapping entertainment next Thursday Aug. 27, at the Refugio County Jamboree.

The Jamboree Band will welcome four entertainers including Ray Goodwin of Victoria, L.A. Zdansky, Johnny Marek of Corpus Christi and Al Nelson of Corpus Christi.

Show time is from 7:30 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m. and admission remains at $4 per person for more than two hours of live entertainment.

For more information about the show, contact Rick Faircloth at 361-572-8741.

Goodwin is a polished singer as well as a historian of country and old 50s rock music.

Zdansky is a well-know drummer and singer in South Texas.

“L.A. is not playing regularly anymore, but still stays close to his love of music by doing the area shows from time to time,” said Rick Faircloth, show organizer. “He’s a friend to everyone and we’re happy to have him on our show.”

A talented artist, Marek has been playing in local bands for years, Faircloth said.

“He is a great drummer and he has a wonder voice that will impress the audience,” Faircloth said.

Nelson sings the Ray Price style and performs in the Big Band style.

“Not only is he a good singer, he is a good drummer,’ Faircloth said. “Come out and see what these talented musicians have in store for us.”
