He was born March 3, 1926 in Pettus, to Juan and Trinidad Jaure Aguirre.
Aguirre is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Fernando Aguirre; one grandson, Nicholas Aguirre; three sisters; and six brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Simona Perez Aguirre of Blanconia; three daughters, Adelaida Aguirre of Blanconia, Trinida Aguirre of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lydia Aguirre Beers of Kadena Air Base, Japan; two sons, Santos Aguirre Jr. of Blanconia and Bert Aguirre of Austin; four sisters, Baudelia Aguirre and Lupita Aguirre, both of Taft, Antonia Cano of Beeville, Malicha Luera of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 16, at St. Therese Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Woodsboro.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Aguirre, Robert Aguirre, Fernando Aguirre Jr., Augustine Aguirre Jr., Frank Garcia Jr., Tim Beers, Ted Moore, and Benny Almager.
Honorary pallbearers are Larry Luera, Ronnie Ressman, Sydney Luera and Lupe Almager Jr.
