Billy Lee Curry, 82, died October 28, 2008, in a Refugio nursing home. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran. He served in the Navy during World War II. Curry was a resident of Ingleside before moving to Refugio in 1993.

He was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Raymondville to Howard Curry and Aida Thomas Curry.

Curry was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Aida Curry; wife, Wanda Curry; daughter, Janet Curry and a grandson, Thomas Curry.

Survivors include four daughters and their spouses, Carolyn A. and Charlie Jr. Hudson of Beeville, Barbara G. Howard of Austin, Patricia D. and Tim Cooper of Ingleside and Julie A. Curry of Beeville; his son and his wife, George Howard and Sarah Curry of Bastrop; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends was held from noon until 9 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home – Aransas Pass.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, at San Patricio Memorial Gardens in Portland.
