Hipolito “Polo” Jaramillo, Sr, 79, of Woodsboro, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008. He worked in the oil field as a roustabout.

Polo was born Aug. 13, 1929, in Refugio to Margarito and Juanita Camaro Jaramillo

He is preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Kimberly Jaramillo; one sister, Beatrice Elizondo; three brothers, Manuel, Jesus and Carlos Jaramillo.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Abila Jaramillo; four daughters, Regenia Valenzuela, Leslie Perez, both of Woodsboro, Deborah Silvas and Stella Abila, both of Refugio; five sons, Hipolito “Paul” Jaramillo Jr, Isaac Jaramillo, Louis Hulsey, all of Woodsboro, Sammy Jaramillo of Fayette, Ohio, and Mark Hulsey of Victoria; five brothers, Jose Jaramillo of LaVernia; David Jaramillo of Chicago, Ill., Reuben Jaramillo, Gilberto Jaramillo and Rene Jaramillo, all of Pharr; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Woodsboro.

Burial was in St. Bernard Cemetery, Woodsboro.

Pallbearers are Justin Valenzuela, Lloyd Silvas Jr, Derrick Silvas, Jonathan Jaramillo, Marcus Jaramillo and Steven Jaramillo.

Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Perez Jr., Nicholas Valenzuela, Travis Jaramillo, Brayden Abila and Sean Gonzales.

You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. Tio Polo was one of a kind. He will be missed dearly. He could cook the best beans outside. Tia Nina, I send all my love to ya. Wish I could be with you. Please take care of yourself and hope to see ya in the summer. I love you all! God Bless you all!
