Kitty Kats slip past Lady Eaglets

The seventh grade Lady Eaglets defeated the Yorktown Kitty Kats in one of three matches.

In the first game, the Lady Eaglets won 25-16 but fell behind in the next two 27-25 and 25-15, giving the Kitty Kats the win.

Leading scorers were Taylor Perez with 16 points; Kayse McCool, 10; Jamie Wilson, 6; Melissa Zungia, 2 and Desirae Perez, 1.

“The Lady Eaglets showed a lot of hustle, and a lot of confidence and courage,” said Coach Rhonda Perez. “They looked real good, they showed all the things that you want to see coming in the future.”

The Lady Eaglets close out the season with a district record of 4-6.

“Great job ladies,” Coach Perez said.
