In these hard economic times, with tight budgets, do we really need two airports? And do we really need a city manager?
First, wouldn’t a county airport benefit more taxpayers than a city airport? This would eliminate the city bearing all the costs. My understanding is that some of the tenants at the city airport have moved, or are in the process of moving, to Chase Field Airport.
Second, do we really need a city manager? What are the duties and requirements of a city manager? What are the duties and requirements of the mayor? Are they not the same? Could the manager position be left vacant until the economy begins to improve?
Just some questions I had no answers for.
