Beginning on Saturday Oct. 3, a softball tournament will start at 9 a.m. at the baseball field. The entry fee is $150 per team with only eight team spots available.
The winners will be announced that night at a dance being held at Refugio City Hall from 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. To sign up, call Angela Gonzales at 542-7119 or Terry York at 229-9560.
On Sunday Oct. 4, a meal of 1/2 barbecue chicken, German potatoes, pinto beans, with all the trimmings, dessert and tea will be served. Plates are $6 pre-sale and $7 at the door starting at 11 a.m.
There will be outside food booths, plant booths, country store, sweet shoppe, and free children’s games all also beginning at 11 a.m.
There will also be a moon walk and water slide, but you are asked to please bring your own towels.
A cake walk, live and silent auctions begin at 1 p.m. where the 42 raffle winners will be announced. Tickets are still available for $3 each or $10 for a book of 5.
