The Woodsboro Lions Club held its annual Punt, Pass, and Kick contest under the direction of Woodsboro Elementary P.E. teacher, Lion Pam Harris, on Thursday Sept. 10.
“We had a very nice turnout this year,” said Lion Albin Kucera.
Approximately 100 students participated in the event. The winners in the various groups are as follows. Seven-year-old student winners are Kyler Brown, first; Robert Gonzales, second; Taron Meacham, third.
Eight-year-old winners are Jaren Ortiz, first; Jake Tinsman, second; and Garrett Burns, third.
Nine-year-old winners are Ti Beall, first; Brett Lopez, second; and Cooper Gillespie, third.
Ten-year-old winners are Jaden Wren, first; Isaac Wollam, second; and Jordan Abila, third.
Eleven-year-old winners are Robert Esparza, first; Hailey Birkey, second; and Derrick Pena, third.
Twelve year old winners are Malik Hicks, first; Santiago Garcia, second; Quinton Burns, third.
Winners were awarded trophies during the half-time football game on Sept. 18.
“Special thanks to Amy Burns, KaSteene Harris, and Michael Silvas for their help, along with the Lions who participated in the event,” Kucera said.
