Lorene Beckmann Marbach, 98, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009. She was a lifetime member of the Tivoli Lutheran Church.
She was born Nov. 27, 1910, in Runge to Paul H. and Augusta F. Schlabach.
She is preceded in death by both her husbands, Reuben Beckmann and Anton Marbach; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Bruce and Betty Marie Beckman; a sister, Willis Reynolds Wallenberg; a brother, Paul J. Schlabach; and a great-granddaughter, Adrienne Lee Chambers.
Survivors include her son and his wife, Donald Ray and Laverne Backmann of Murphy; one sister and her husband, Bernice and Bill McClintock of Kenner, La.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 25, at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the same funeral home. The Rev. Nick Stewart officiated. Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. in Tivoli Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wallace Maley, Bill Davis, Billie King and grandsons Kenneth Beckmann Jr., Gary Beckmann and Mark Beckmann.
Honorary pallbearers were Tommy McClintock, Jake Thormahlen, Kenneth Marbach; her grandchildren Peggy Maley, Patsy Davis, Diana King, Gary Beckmann, Mark Beckmann; her great-grandchildren, Jennifer Chambers, Ryan Chambers, Bryan Davis, Ashley Davis, William King, Christi King, Kyle Beckmann; and great-great grandchildren, Michael Moore, James (J.R.) Moore, Peyton Chambers and Brayden Davis.
