On Tuesday, Sept. 29, A Walk in the Garden Garden Club conducted a quarterly meeting. Fr. Luke is president of the club.

The club’s agenda included discussion regarding plant donations needed for Fiesta to be held Sunday, Nov. 8. Members should bring plants to the church office. Also, concrete benches are needed for chapel landscaping. Contact Nora at the church office at 358-0088, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

A Christmas party will be held for December’s meeting to replace the winter quarterly meeting. Members should bring food and an inexpensive gift. Guests are welcome to attend.

The Spring Table and Floral Show plans were introduced. Volunteers are needed to do table settings with a floral arrangement. Call 542-9743 for suggestions or to volunteer a table to decorate.

Mums need to be donated for the church fall beautification job and donations are welcomed. A comfort station is being discussed for funerals. This is a private place to talk with family away from the church and inside the education building. Donations needed are a loveseat or sofa, coffee table and two end tables, a free-standing room divider and crosses or religious pictures or a mirror for the wall.

Light refreshments and a walk through the church grounds concluded the meeting. If you would like to join the club, call the office from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday and pick up the fall agenda printout to help out with any of the jobs on the work list.
