4-H Clubs busy with activities

BLANCONIA 4-H CLUB

The Blanconia 4-H Club met on Oct. 13th. The club voted to buy 4-H t-shirts for new members. Members need to contact Mrs. Beall for more information.

Mrs. Tina McGuill gave a presentation to the club on Trustworthiness; the first Character Counts pillar. Members enjoyed participating in an interactive obstacle course trusting game.

Members were asked to please make donations to the Blanconia Volunteer Fire Department rummage sale on Nov. 7th. The clubs Trick-or-Treat for Canned Goods wil be Oct. 28.

Meet at the Extension Office at 6 p.m. Please brings boxes and/or bags. The following announcements were made: Major show sign up dates are Nov. 4 & 5, County Food Show is Nov. 14, turkey pick up is Oct. 20th, and parents were reminded of the meeting attendance policy of one Fair Board meeting per year.

BONNIE VIEW 4-H CLUB

Bonnie View 4-H had its monthly meeting on Oct. 11. Members were reminded that parents of members need to attend at least one Fair Board meeting a year.

The major show deadline is Nov. 4 & 5 to sign up. The County Food Show is Nov. 14 for those that want to participate. Mrs. Hicks and

Mrs. Gillespie brought sugar cookies that all the members of the Bonnie View 4-H Club decorated along with cards. They were given to businesses to show the 4-H’ers gratitude for the support given to the 4-H program.
