Churches, service organizations, school groups and community members are asked to help with preparation for the 2009 Vineyard Christmas Angels program.

Help is needed on Nov. 14 with wreath making and box decorating, Nov. 14 through 20 to distribute wreaths, trees and collection boxes and Nov. 21 and 28 for gift sorting and transformation of the warehouse into Santa’s workshop.

In December, help is needed Dec. 1-4, 8-11 and 15-18 to assist in boxing food and toiletries and assisting parents with toy selection and wrapping. On Dec. 10, volunteers are needed to sort food for 200 families, Dec. 11 to pack food and toiletries for next-day delivery and Dec. 12 to make homebound deliveries.

Dec. 18 is Angel Tree Day and pastoral counsels are needed for families of the incarcerated and Dec. 21 is the last shopping day, reserved for emergency late registrants and those who missed their previous appointments with good cause.
