“Tena” Sanders Cunningham, 78, of Seguin, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Women’s Ladies Aide.

She was born Sept. 20, 1931, in Three Rivers.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Lee Cunningham, of Sequin; three daughters and their spouses, Patricia Rose and Charles Whitecotton of La Vernia, Angela Gaye and Turner Watts of Luling, Bethany Lennette and Charles Denison of Seguin; one sister, Lois Houdmann and husband Arlyn of Beeville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Jan. 12, from 11 a.m. until noon at Moore Funeral Home.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Refugio.

Pallbearers were Sloan Spacek, Charles Denison, Brian Watts, Richard Smith and Ethan Belcek.
