Juan “Johnny” Bustos Cantu, 79, of Houston, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010. He lived in Refugio and Woodsboro for 35 years before moving to Houston.

He was a Korean War veteran.

He was born on May 15, 1931.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Petra; two daughters; three sons; and five grandchildren, all of Houston.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, in Houston. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Catholic burial was celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20, at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 11011 Hall Road, in Houston.

A military burial with the Patriot Guard and Korean War Veterans was conducted at 12:30 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Houston.

Pallbearers include his sons and grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers include Korean War Veterans.
