He was a barber for many years in Houston, Corpus Christi and Aransas Pass. He later was employed by Southwestern Refinery and Coastal States Refineries where he worked as a boardman and as a lead operator prior to his retirement.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1926, to Frank and Lona of Refugio.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Walter T. Shaw; and his grandson, Robert Francis Hamilton.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Eula Shaw; three daughters, Carolyn Shaw; Marsha Hardeman and her husband Frederick Douglas; and Gloria Hamilton and her husband George Jr.; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
