• Blanconia 4-H

Blanconia 4-H members voted to sell 4-H items at the county fair as a fundraiser during its meeting on Jan. 12, at the Blanconia Community Center.

They also voted to donate $25 to the Blanconia Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Norman Gray.

Members were asked to please help sell two tickets for the Auction Supporters dinner and dance, on Feb. 27. The club will donate a basket for the silent auction.

The following announcements were made: Rabbit validation will be Feb. 18, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the pct. 3 barn, 4-H Opportunity Scholarship applications are due in the extension office Feb. 3, broiler pick up will be either Feb. 3 or 4, families will be notified.

The next 4-H Booster Club/Council meeting will be Feb. 2 at 5:30 pm at city hall. Livestock entry cards are due by March 1.

There will be a late fee of $100 per entry after March 1 through March 15. Families were reminded about the fair board meeting policy.

The fair board will start meeting every Monday beginning Feb. 1.

Refreshments were served after the meeting. The next meeting is Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.

Bonnie View 4-H held their monthly meeting on Jan. 10, 2010.

Members were reminded that entry cards are due by March 1, or there will be a $100 late fee per entry.

The next Booster Club meeting will be held on Feb. 2.

The broiler pick up is Feb. 3 and 4th and rabbit validation is Feb. 18. The next 4-H meeting has been moved to Feb. 7.

The Bonnie View 4-H is going to hold a showmanship clinic on Sunday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at the fairgrounds, for all pre 4-Hers and 1st year 4-H showman who would like to attend.

Bonnie View members will be there to give tips on proper showing techniques. The meeting was adjourned.
