Jose Jesus Anzaldua, 82 of Refugio, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008. He was a self-employed plumber and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean conflict.

He was born in Refugio, May 24, 1926.

He is preceded in death by his wife Maria Luisa Anzaldua.

Survivors include two daughters, Isabel Garza of Woodsboro and Norma Ousley and husband Bill of Goliad; two sons, Jose J. Anzaldua and wife Beverly of Coats, N.C. and Frank E. Anzualdua of Refugio and Fred Anzaldua and wife Elida of Beeville; three sisters, Deloros Alvarado of Beeville; Livey Messer and husband Joe of Indianapolis, Ind. and Elohia Barrera and husband Fred of Beeville; two brothers, Timmie Anzaldua of Refugio and Fred Anzaldua of San Antonio; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Norma, I am so very sorry for the loss of your dad and after reading, also the loss of your mom. It's been so long since I have talked with any of you, but you are never far from my mind.
