The Refugio County Jamboree is set for Tuesday this month instead of the usual Thursday night show. In spite of the change, country-music fans still will be treated to an all-star lineup and three hours of live country music.

Ray Goodwin, Robin Pollock, Samantha Pollock and the Jamboree Band will be featured on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Refugio County Community Center from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Ray Goodwin of Victoria is not only a polished veteran singer of country music, but he is also a historian of country and old 50s rock music.

“He’ll put on a show that will make your toes tap the floor,” said Rick Faircloth, show organizer. “Ray has traveled all across the sate of Texas to do Opry shows. If someone asks Ray to perform in Timbuktu I think you might just see him there.”

Robin Pollock and her 13-year-old daughter Samantha are relatively new to the Opry show business.

“Their newness in no way reflects their talent,” Faircloth said. “They both perform like professionals individually, as well as in duets. We’re very delighted to have them at the Jamboree for the first time.”

Admission is $4 per person for a full evening of live musical entertainment. L&L Bar-B-Que will cater the food from 6:30-8:30 p.m., so come early, eat dinner, and get ready for three hours of music.

For more information about the show, contact Rick Faircloth at 361-293-5887 or 526-2835.
