Charles Howard “Red” Anderson, 67, of Refugio died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 39 years prior to his retirement. He also served in the U.S. Army.

He was born on Feb. 22, 1942. in Def Allemands, La. to Ellis and Jeanette Harrison Anderson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Eugene Anderson.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie K. Anderson of Refugio; three sons, Charles Brian Anderson of Corpus Christi, Luther Ellis Anderson of Alice, and Walter Quince Anderson of Corpus Christi; one sister, Betty Harrison of Houston; two brothers, Danny Anderson of San Marcos, and Travis Anderson of Lake Jackson; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Services were conducted on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
