This Saturday, November 15, the Refugio County Texas Ex-Student’s Association will hoar its annual Scholarship Benefit Golf Tourney.

Tee off is 8 a.m.. Entry fee is $40 per person which includes mulligans and free sausage wraps and soft drinks on the course. There will be chance to win prize money for closest to the pin on No. 2 and No. 11 holes. Also, $100 cash will be paid for all Hole-In-Ones.

The tourney format will be a Mixed Scramble with flights made up of A, B, C, D players, based on handicap. The tourney is open to all men and women players. Call the club to sign up by Friday, Nov. 14.

We are halfway through our goal of selling raffle tickets to upgrade the golf course, etc. Raffle tickets are still available for anyone who might want one. Contact the club for more information.

Don’t forget that every Thursday night is Boy’s Nite Out. Play starts at 6 p.m.

We haven’t had a Men’s Domino Tourney in several months but one is in the planning. We may start having them again on Wednesday nights. They are in the planning stage and probably will start in January.

We are starting to have a few Winter Texans come and play the golf course. We are preparing for them and the course is in pretty fair shape. We could use some rain, though.

This is an invitation to all to come and join our club. Monthly fees are cheap and we have a golf course, swimming pool, clubhouse as well as some activities. If interested contact the club at 526-5554.
