The Moreno Middle School Student Council has joined forces with the Beeville Junior Service League and Coastal Bend College Radiology Club to collect “Coats for Kids”.

These three organizations will collect winter jackets (slightly used) through the end of November. Ernest Flores, owner of Bee Cleaners, will also be assisting in this important project again by cleaning these jackets, free of charge. Mr. Flores has been assisting Roxane Casas with this project for several years now and both agree it is a community service well worth their time.

The three organizations will collect the jackets, have them cleaned and take them to the Vineyard, where the jackets will be distributed. Collection containers will be set up at the following locations: Moreno Middle School Library, IBC Main Bank, St. Mary’s Academy, A.C. Jones High School, Hampton-Moreno-Dugat Early Childhood Center, First Baptist Church School, Coastal Bend College Sub and Bee Cleaners.

The Junior Service League is under the leadership of Terri Trevino-Arthur; Moreno Student Council sponsor is Tammy Rands; and Ludie Tyran is the CBC Radiology sponsor.

For more information, contact Roxane Casas at 362-1011 or Ludie Tyran at 354-2328.
