A sash of ice-blue satin, also adorned with lace and beading, encircled the empire-waist line and flowed in flipped tails atop the chapel-length train.
She wore a diamond necklace that her paternal grandmother had passed on to her when she graduated from college and diamond hoop earrings, a gift from the groom. She carried a nosegay of hot-pink roses.

Janelle Shepherd of Refugio provided a prelude of piano music, as well as the processional and recessional music.
The grandmothers were ushered in and “in memory of those who could not be here with us on this special day but are watching and looking down on us from heaven,” a recording of “Holes in the Floor of Heaven” was played.
The family candles were lighted to a recording of “Butterfly Kisses.” The bride’s attendants each provided special readings, chosen especially for them by the bride.
Other recordings played were “God Blessed the Broken Road” prior to the exchange of vows and “Lost in This Moment With You” as the unity candle was lighted.
A reception and dance were held immediately following the ceremony at the Refugio City Hall Ballroom.
The bride’s three-tiered cake featured white butter-cream frosting with ice-blue fondant ribbons and white-pearl beading at the base of each tier. Hot pink roses adorned each tier as well.
