She was born Aug. 13, 1931 in Refugio, to Cesario Firova and Natividad Rodriguez Firova.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Daniel Lara and a daughter, Janie Saenz.
Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Esther and Joe Pena of Refugio; Susie and Mike Perez of Refugio; Frances and Alfred Valenzuela of Temple; Crystal and Norman Moya of Refugio; three sons and their wives, Daniel Jr. and Amelia Lara of Refugio; Rudy and Cindy Lara of Rosenburg; Chris and Jennifer Lara of Refugio; one brother, Richard Firova of Victoria; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
A rosary was recited on Thursday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 19 in St. James Catholic Church.
Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Saenz, Ronald Saenz, Buddy Firova, Jonathan Lara, Josh Pena, Alan Valenzuela, Walter Firova and Alfred Firova.
