“Thanks to the education that Mr. Gonzales provided, hunting should be a safe and fun experience,” said Jerry Gray II, county extensionagent.
The game warden shared his experience of witnessing a number of gun accidents and urged the members to make sure guns are unloaded when not in use.
Members were reminded of the Nov. 17 deadline for ordering broilers, and the Nov. 21 deadline to sign up for the SALE school tours.
The T-shirts ordered during the last meeting will be passed out at the next meeting on Dec. 9.
The club decided that each member will bring a gift for Toys for Tots; the club will make a donation to SNOW, Someone Needs Our Warmth; and the club will participate in the Bellows Food Drive.
At the end of the meeting, the members colored Christmas decorations for the Refugio Manor.
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Dalton Klare, recitation of the 4-H Motto led by Anthony McGuill, and Laura McGuill read the inspiration message entitled, “Be Thankful.” Lacie Beall read the treasurers report.
