Grady Vaughn Waggoner, 78, of Refugio, died Friday, March 26, 2010. He served in the 7th Army in the Air Force during the Korean War.

He was born Sept. 4, 1931, in Texarkana, to Inez and George Edmonson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Russ Steven Waggoner.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jean; three daughters, Vicki Waggoner Blackwell and husband John of Cuero, Lisa Waggoner Gresham and husband Jim of Ft. Worth, and Holly Waggoner of Houston; one sister, JoElla McGuill and husband Pat of Refugio; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Parks officiating.

Graveside services were conducted in Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Blackwell, Jim Gresham, Dakota Blackwell, Cody Blaschke, Tucker Blackwell and Jerry Evans.

Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Denney, M.C. Love, Grady Pat McGuill and Ray McGuill.
