The Beeville Community Chorus will perform at an evening concert on the first Saturday of the month (Christmas Concert on Dec. 6 at Mission Espíritu Santo in Goliad State Park) and a History in Lights exhibit (a holiday lighting display) will be shown on the mission grounds from Nov. 27 to Jan. 3.

In addition, the recent Texas Highways magazine spotlights Christmas in Goliad (feature story on Page 10) entitled a “Small-town season’s greetings.” On Dec. 5-6, Christmas in Goliad celebrates its 25th anniversary this year with a festive combination of holiday shopping, caroling, a dazzling parade and the arrival of Santa Claus.

The Goliad square is turned into a winter wonderland, filled with booths offering tamales, baked goods and artisans’ handmade items for sale. The story also mentions an event called Christmas Along the Corridor at the Presidio La Bahía, with an annual re-enactment of the historic Pony Express.
