The Redfish got off to a quick start getting two easy points off of an offensive rebound by Avery Camacho but turnovers proved too costly. The Redfish lost 36-17.

At the end of the first quarter the score was 6 10 with the Redfish trailing. The Redfish then started getting beat down the court and turning the ball over several times. The Redfish picked up their second loss of the year.

“Despite the score I am proud of our kids,” said Coach Zach Crawford. “They continued to play hard and stayed positive throughout the game. We still have a lot of work to do and I anticipate improvement with each game.”

The next boys game will be Dec. 8, at A-THS against Faith Academy.

The Lady Redfish also lost to the Cobras 29-6, which brings their record to 1-1.

Despite the lopsided score the girls played very good, the coach said.

“Our defense came out after half time and was very aggressive causing several turnovers,” Crawford said. “They just could not capitalize on the turnovers. During the game we also had several open shots that we could not get to fall. The girls team will continue to get better with each game.”
